Celebrate the 21st Amendment by remembering the 18th Amendment.  With the passage of the 18th Amendment, the entire United States went "dry" at 12:01 AM on January 17, 1920.  Instead of curbing alcohol consumption, the law drove it underground, spurring the creation of speakeasies and bathtub stills.  Repealed 13 years later, America's experiment with prohibition is not only history, it's a great reason to party!

Host a Roaring '20's Party

Hide the gin & tonics in your bathtub and celebrate the gilded age of the Great Gatsby.  Encourage your female guests to sport their flapper styles, and have the men come as gangsters of the era.  Play lots of jazz and pull out the casino games to create a speakeasy in your own home.  Keep your menu simple by serving tea sandwiches.  Seriously, no one went to a speakeasy to eat; they went to drink, dance, smoke, and have a good time, so focus on creating a festive atmosphere.  Don't forget to include a secret password in your invitations to ensure your guests are admitted into the speakeasy.

Organize a Cocktail Crawl & Jazz Night

Plan a night of cocktails and jazz for your urban tribe.  Begin by mapping out a route of your favorite watering-holes.  Strive to include bars that offer signature cocktails since you'll be offering many toasts to the 18th Amendment.  End the evening with a stop at a jazz club to enjoy some music reminiscent of the era.
